Formation and professional purpose
ASAM emerged from the need for a recognised professional platform bringing together people trained or working in animal science and related livestock disciplines in Malawi.
The Association provides continuity for professional dialogue beyond individual institutions and projects. It creates a shared space for experienced professionals, early-career practitioners, researchers and students to contribute to sector development.
Looking forward
ASAM’s continuing development focuses on strong governance, active membership, credible professional services, practical knowledge exchange and partnerships that support Malawi’s livestock sector.
